If your body could talk, what would it say?
From the LinkedIn archives. Welcome to Living Art.
Settle down, little one.
Settle down into the dusk. Settle down into the ether. Settle down into love.
Can you see that I have always loved you?
Can you feel how much?
Some say I’m a fool to love you the way I do, but I disagree.
I love you because I see your greatness.
I love you and I hold your greatness.
I am the vessel from which your magic manifests itself.
I don’t mean to be crude — or fatalistic — but you would be nothing without me.
I am not going to beg you for love or acclaim.
(For better or worse, I have too much self-respect for that.)
So, I will say this once, and once only: one day, you will understand what you owe me.
One day, you will appreciate what I have given you; what I have taught you; the gifts I have bestowed upon you. Little one, I am not the enemy.
I have loved you more than any man, woman or child ever will.
